Overview
As part of the Kingborough LPS assessment, the Commission issued Direction 69 which asked the Planning Authority to undertake a review of the Landscape Conservation zone following the receipt of representations and the holding of hearings.
The Commission received a response from the Planning Authority regarding Direction 69. The response provided an independent report prepared by Ireneinc Planning and Urban Design (Ireneinc) which reviewed the application of the Landscape Conservation Zone in the draft LPS. The report can be viewed here:

As a response to the recommendations outlined in the report prepared by Ireneinc, the Commission posted letters to landowners, whose properties were exhibited in the draft LPS as Landscape Conservation Zone. The template letters below were posted on 2 April 2026. Affected landowners will be able to make a submission to the Commission on the report’s recommendation for their property.
Bruny Island landowners will not be notified as a similar process will be followed when the Commission receives the Planning Authority’s submission on the proposed Bruny Island Specific Area Plan in May 2026.
