Have your say on the Waratah-Wynyard draft LPS

The Waratah-Wynyard draft Local Provisions Schedule (LPS) is on public exhibition from 21 March to 24 May 2022.

The draft LPS and related documents are available on the Waratah-Wynyard Council and the Commission’s website.

You can make a representation to Waratah-Wynyard Council during the exhibition period.

Launceston IPS Amendment Delegation

The Commission delegated the assessment of Launceston IPS draft Amendment 68 to John Ramsay, Dan Ford and Pam Allan.
The draft amendment seeks a partial rezoning  land at 27-99 Opossum Road Kings Meadows for Recreation Zone to General Residential Zone and permit application for a 14 lot subdivision.

Local Provisions Schedules (LPS)

The Commission noted that the Tasmanian Planning Scheme was in operation in 11 municipalities following approval of LPSs.
Approval for a further LPS was imminent. Hearings have been held or are scheduled for 5 LPSs, and 6 LPSs are at various stages of the statutory assessment process. Of the remaining 6 LPSs, 5 are with the Commission for compliance assessment and one planning authority has not submitted a draft LPS for review.

Commission Appointments

Janelle Townsend has been appointed as a Planning Adviser, commencing on 14 March.
