Overview

This project of State significance proposes a multipurpose stadium at Macquarie Point (the project).

The project is subject to an integrated assessment process under the State Policies and Projects Act 1993 (the Act) and the requirements of the Ministerial Direction issued under the Act.

This is the second stage of the process, where the Commission prepares an integrated assessment report and recommendations to the Minister.

See Macquarie Point Multipurpose Stadium Guidelines for information about the first stage of this process.

Received

The Commission commences the integrated assessment when all reports submitted in response to the Guidelines have been received. The Commission must prepare its integrated assessment report within 12 months of this date, or such later day as the Minister may direct in writing.

The Commission is required to consult with Hobart City Council and identified agencies with an interest in the project in relation to the preparation of the draft integrated assessment report.

The Panel has determined the agencies considered to have an interest in the project. See the list of agencies.

The Commission has notified each agency and provided advice on the opportunities for their future involvement in the integrated assessment process. The letters to each agency can be viewed under ‘stakeholder communications’ below.
