The major project proposes use and development for a wind farm and associated infrastructure located northwest of Bothwell, east of Tarraleah and north of Hamilton.
It comprises up to 56 wind turbine generators and associated hardstands, a battery energy storage system, electricity reticulation, connection to an existing transmission line, substation and switchyard, access roads, carparking, buildings and associated infrastructure, temporary construction facilities including construction compound, concrete batching plant and quarries on a site of approximately 8,460 hectares.
