The Minister for Planning has issued amendment 02-2025 to the State Planning Provisions (SPPs).

The amendment to the SPPs is effective from Wednesday, 18 February 2026.

It clarifies the subdivision potential for lots in more than one zone (split zoned lots), particularly where the applicable zones have different minimum lot size requirements for subdivision; clarifies the definition and operational requirements for employment training centre; updates the operational requirements for home-based child care exemption to align with current legislation; and clarifies the exemption limitations relating to electricity infrastructure.
