The Commission has published Information Sheet 1-2026 – TPPs - commencement 1 July 2026 (PDF, 293.6 KB).

Its purpose is to provide initial information about:

  • the commencement of the Tasmanian Planning Policies (TPPs) (PDF, 3.2MB) on 1 July 2026
  • implications for current and future assessments under the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993 (the Act), in particular draft amendments to Local Provision Schedules (LPSs)
  • the Commission’s assessment approach, including during the transition; and
  • proposed legislative amendments.
