The Commission has implemented a new live streaming policy for Commission hearings.
The aim of the policy is to maintain public trust in the Commission’s processes by enhancing transparency and improving accessibility and community engagement. It also seeks to ensure compliance with legal and privacy obligations and provide a reliable and accurate public record of proceedings.
The policy applies to all public hearings conducted by the Commission that the Commission has determined are appropriate for live streaming, for example, where there is significant statewide public interest.
The policy includes clear guidelines and procedures in relation to privacy and consent, management of personal information, and sensitive and confidential matters as well as protocols for recording, archiving and access.
