Draft Maria Island National Park and Ile des Phoques Nature Reserve Management Plan 2025

  • The Director of National Parks and Wildlife (the Director) has prepared the Draft Maria Island National Park and Ile des Phoques Nature Reserve Management Plan 2025 (the draft management plan) under Part 3 of the National Parks and Reserves Management Act 2002 (the Act) for the use, development and management of the reserved land.
    Under section 22 and 23 of the Act, the Commission is required to review the representations and report of the Director and exhibit the documents for public viewing.

Draft Port Arthur Historic Sites Heritage Management Plan 2025

  • The Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority (PAHSMA) has prepared the Port Arthur Historic Sites Heritage Management Plan 2025 (the draft plan) under Part 3 of the National Parks and Reserves Management Act 2002 (the Act) for the use, development and management of the reserved land at the Port Arthur Historic Sites.
    Under section 22 and 23 of the Act, the Commission is required to review the representations and report of PAHSMA and exhibit the documents for public viewing.

Tasmanian Planning Scheme - Brighton - Draft amendment RZ 2025-04

  • The draft amendment proposes
    (a) to rezone the land at:
    - 50 Boyer Road, 170 Boyer Road, and parts of 25 Cobbs Hill Road from Future Urban Zone to General
    Residential Zone;
    - part of 31 Cobbs Hill Road from Future Urban Zone to Landscape Conservation Zone;
    (b) to amend the priority vegetation overlay on 31 Cobbs Hill Road and 25 Cobbs Hill Road;
    (c) to amend the spatial application of the Local Heritage Place overlay at 50 Boyer Road; and
    (d) to insert the BRI-S13.0 Boyer Road Precinct Specific Area Plan over 50 Boyer Road, 170 Boyer Road, 182 Boyer  Road, 25 Cobbs Hill Road, and 31 Cobbs Hill Road, Bridgewater.

Tasmanian Planning Scheme - Launceston - Draft amendment PSA-LLP0011 and permit DA0124-2023

  • The draft amendment proposes to insert a new site specific qualification to allow the General Retail and Hire Use Class as Discretionary with the qualification ‘a supermarket up to 1,000m² in size’ in the Light Industrial Zone at 10 Dolerite Drive, Kings Meadows.
    The permit provides for a supermarket.

    - properties at Killiecrankie and Palana within the Low Density Residential zone that are also subject to FLI-S1 Coastal Settlement Specific Area Plan
    - Pats River, Whitemark Airport and properties at Bluff Road
    - Pot Boil Road, Lady Barron, and
    - Samphire River, Badger Corner.

  • Tasmanian Planning Scheme - Latrobe
    Amendment - 2/2024 permit LDA-063/2024
    Description - Amend the LAT-1.0 Bellfield Industrial Specific Area Plan.
    Permit - Demolish existing buildings and install internal services and access infrastructure at 16 Port Sorell Road and 6183 Frankford Road, Wesley Vale.
    Decision: Modify draft amendment and approve. Permit not considered.

    Amendment - AMD 02-2025
    Description - Apply the Landscape Conservation Zone to properties at Lymwood.
    Decision: Modify draft amendment and approve.

    Amendment - 1/2025
    Description - Rezone 200 Parkers Ford Road, Port Sorell (folio of the Register 213993/1) and the adjoining Crown owned road reserve from Rural Living Zone D to Rural Living Zone A.
    Decision: Modify draft amendment and approve.

    Amendment - AMD 03-2025
    Description - Apply the Safeguarding of Airports Code and insert the Airport Obstacle Limitation Area overlay map.
    Decision: Approve.
