The Minister for Housing and Planning has received and considered the report provided by Commission under section 12F(2) of the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993 (the Act) on its assessment of the draft Tasmanian Planning Policies (TPPs).  The Minister has decided to modify and make the TPPs under section 12G(2) of the Act.

The TPPs will be effective from 1 July 2026.

The Commission has published its report to the Minister on the draft TPPs, dated June 2024, which may be viewed on the assessments and hearing page on the Commission’s website.

The State Planning Office’s website has published the TPPs, and the reasons for the Minister making modifications to the draft TPPs and the evidence on which the Minister based his reasons.
