The Commission submitted the Tasmanian 2024 State of the Environment Report (2024 SoE Report) to the Minister for Housing and Planning on 29 August 2024.
The 2024 SoE Report has been prepared in line with section 29 of the State Policies and Projects Act 1993 and includes:
- recommendations for future action in relation to management of the environment
- the achievement of resource management objectives
- conditions, trends and changes in the environment
As an independent statutory authority, the Commission has prepared the 2024 SoE Report at arm’s length from government. The views expressed within the Report are the Commission’s which have drawn on the independent expert advice of those persons and parties that the Commission engaged to assist with the preparation of the Report.
The 2024 SoE Report will be made available in an electronic format through the Commission’s website after the Minister tables the Report in both Houses of Parliament.
