The Commission has recently issued the following delegations:

State Planning Provisions - Container Refund Scheme - AM-SPP-02-2024

  • The draft amendment proposes to provide for container refund facilities as part of the Container Refund Scheme of the State Planning Provisions, State Policy, the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993 and any other Act.
    Changes will include:
    • amend Table 3.1 Planning Terms and Definitions
    • clarify the definition of Recycling and Waste Disposal in Table 6.2 Use Classes
    • insert a new sub-clause to clause 7.14 Container Refund Points
    • amend the Commercial Zone and Light Industrial Zone Use Tables
    • clarify the definition of container refund scheme space in sub-clause C2.3.1
    • amend Table C2.1 Parking Space Requirements

Tasmanian Planning Scheme - Latrobe - AP-LAT-2-2024 and permit LDA-063-2024

  • The draft amendment proposes to amend the LAT-1.0 Bellfield Industrial Estate Specific Area Plan (the SAP) by:
    • including Precinct D (FR135671/1)
    • amending the LAT-S1.1 Plan Purpose statements to acknowledge Precinct  D
    • including additional provisions that limit the range of allowable uses
    • including additional development standards for setbacks to the Bass Highway, stormwater infrastructure and landscaping
  • The permit provides for construction of services, including an upgrade of an existing vehicle access, extension of a shared private roadway and provision of stormwater and electricity infrastructure.
