On 19 November 2024, independent auditors RSM Australia Pty Ltd finalised an audit of the Tasmanian Planning Commission’s 2024 State of the Environment (SoE) Report. The Commission initiated the audit to assess the processes and controls it put in place to ensure the quality of the SoE Report. The audit forms an important component of the Commission’s review of the 2024 SoE Report.
The Audit Report provides assurance that:
“For the 2024 SoER, the Commission has demonstrated that it has processes and controls in place to ensure that the Technical Content of the SoER is of an acceptable standard.”
The Audit Report also found there were no instances of deviation from its processes.
The audit findings also provide insight into improvements that the Commission can consider implementing in future SoE Reporting cycles.
