Overview
Draft Planning Directive No. 11 proposes to insert the Attenuation Code (as reflected in the State Planning Provisions) in the King Island Interim Planning Scheme 2013 and for it to spatially apply to an attenuation area for the Tungsten mine at Grassy, King Island.

On 8 August 2023, the Minister for Planning directed the Tasmanian Planning Commission to undertake an assessment of the Draft Planning Directive No. 11 under the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993 (former provisions).

On 11 October 2023, the Commission gave written notice to the Minister, relevant planning authorities and State Agencies likely to be affected by the planning directive, and invited representations.
