The Minister for Planning has made amendment 01-2022 to the State Planning Provisions, which introduces exemptions and special provisions for use and development associated with the container refund scheme. The amendment applies to all municipalities operating under the Tasmanian Planning Scheme.
The Minister has also issued Planning Directive No. 9 - Exemptions and Special Provisions - Container Refund Scheme. The planning directive replaces Interim Planning Directive 6 and applies to all interim planning schemes and the Sullivans Cove Planning Scheme 1997.
Amendment 01-2022 and Planning Directive No. 9 are effective from Wednesday, 24 January 2024.
