The Tasmanian Planning Commission may delegate its powers and functions under section 8 of the Tasmanian Planning Commission Act 1997.

At its meeting on 2 October 2023, the Commission made the following delegations:

Decisions recently published by the Commission:

  • Decision to approve  draft amendment AM2023.01 and modify and approve permit PA2023.0002 to the Tasmanian Planning Scheme – Devonport dated 15 September 2023 – see also AP-DEV-AM2023-01
  • Decision directing Devonport planning authority to modify draft amendment AM 2022.03 to the Tasmanian Planning Scheme Devonport and refuse permit PA2022.0100 dated 27 September 2023 – see also AP-DEV-AM2022-03

Commission  Appointment

  • Ross Lovell has been appointed to the Commission as a Senior Planning Consultant Casual.
    Ross has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Planning), Graduate Diploma (Urban & Regional Planning), Graduate Diploma (Management) and a Master of Arts (Town Planning).
    Ross has had an extensive career in regional and local government planning in Victoria and Tasmania and has expertise in a wide range of town planning fields. In his previous position, Ross was the Manager City Planning, at Clarence City Council.
    Ross Lovell will also join the Commission Delegates Panel.
