Overview

The Commission has been directed by the Minister for Primary Industries and Water to review the Draft Amended Mersey River Catchment Water Management Plan prepared by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment under section 27(1) of the Water Management Act 1999 (the Act).

The purpose of the Plan is to provide specific rules and arrangements for the management of water resources of the Mersey River catchment downstream of Lake Parangana in accordance with the objectives of the Act.

The Commission is to review the representations and the report of the Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
