Draft Tasmanian Planning Policies (TPPs) review

The Minister for Planning may direct the Commission to publicly exhibit a draft of the Tasmanian Planning Policies (TPPs).

The Commission undertakes public exhibition of the draft TPPs and considers issues raised by anyone making a submission, called a representation, during the exhibition period.  The Commission may hold hearings and must report to the Minister recommending whether or not the TPPs meet the TPP criteria under the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993.

The Minister makes the decision whether or not to make the TPPs.

Further information about the Tasmanian Planning Policies is available on the Tasmanian Planning Reform website

Amendments to Tasmanian Planning Policies (TPPs) review

A similar process occurs for amendments to the TPPs as for the initial review of the draft TPPs.
