A direction from the Minister for Primary Industries and Water, the Hon S Kons, MHA, was received on 3 August, 2005 requesting the Commission review the representations and the report of the Secretary, Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment with reference to the Draft Plan.
As required under section 27(6) of the Water Management Act 1999, the Commission gave public notice (PDF:90 KB | 1 page) in the Advocate, Examiner and Mercury newspapers on 16 July 2005 that copies of representations received and the Secretary's report were available for public inspection at the Glamorgan Spring Bay and Southern Midlands Council Chambers, the Commission’s Hobart office and the Commission's website.
