Review of representations and the Secretary's Report on the Draft Water Management Plans for Lakes Sorell and Crescent and for the River Clyde

On 16 June 2005 the Minister for Primary Industries and Water, the Hon S Kons, MHA, directed the Commission to review the representations and the report of the Secretary, Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment with reference to the Draft Plans.

As required under section 27(6) of the Water Management Act 1999, the Commission gave public notice in the Advocate, Examiner and Mercury newspapers on 25 June 2005 that copies of representations received and the Secretary's report were available for public inspection at the Central Highlands Council offices (Hamilton and Bothwell), the Commission’s Hobart office and the Commission's website.

Having reviewed and considered the representations and the Secretary's report the Commission determined that a hearing was not required.
