Consultation Report - Standards for Residential Development in the General Residential Zone

The Commission was requested by the Minister for Planning to prepare State-wide planning provisions for multiple dwellings for implementation through interim planning schemes.

On 28 June 2012, the Commission released draft development standards for multiple dwellings in the General Residential Zone for informal consultation with local government. Targeted consultation also took place with a number of industry groups.

The draft development standards were combined with those for single dwellings and were proposed as an extension to Planning Directive No. 4 - Standards for Single Dwellings in Interim Planning Schemes.
