Gunns Limited has submitted its Draft Integrated Impact Statement (IIS) to the Resource Planning and Development Commission for assessment. The Draft IIS has been prepared by Gunns Limited for its proposal to build and operate a bleached kraft pulp mill at Long Reach, within the Bell Bay Industrial Zone, Northern Tasmania.
The Draft IIS was on display and available for public inspection between 14 July 2006 and 25 September 2006 at Tasmanian libraries and the Department of Environment and Heritage Central Library, Parkes, ACT.

A total of 780 submissions, including pro forma submissions, have been received by the Commission in response to its public invitation to lodge a written submission on the Gunns Limited Draft Integrated Impact Statement (IIS).
In accordance with the requirements of section 12 of the Resource Planning and Development Commission Act 1997 written submissions are available to the public.
