Draft Integrated Assessment Report
Clarence City Council, pursuant to section 22 of the State Policies and Projects Act 1993, has provided a Further Submission by Clarence City Council.
The Commission considered, as part of its statutory duty to consult with the Council in preparation of the Draft Integrated Assessment Report, that it should have regard to Council's submission in the course of the preparation of the report.
The Commission has received correspondence from the Environmental Defenders Office (Tas) Inc in relation to the Further Submission by Clarence City Council.
The Commission wrote to Walker Corporation's Solicitor and received a response dated 28th September 2009.
The Commission responded to Walker Corporation's Solicitor on 2 October 2009.
The Commission has prepared the Draft Integrated Assessment Report following consideration of representations and evidence provided at the hearing in relation to the Draft Integrated Impact Statement.
The Commission invites public representation in relation to the Draft Integrated Assessment Report.
The Proponent, State and local government bodies, community and other interested groups and individuals are invited to make a written representation on the Draft Integrated Assessment Report. Representations on specific draft recommendations will assist the Panel when considering the issues raised in representations. Please note that the Panel is not seeking further representations on the Proponent's Draft Integrated Impact Statement or on issues already raised in previous representations. Written representations must be received no later than 4.30pm, Tuesday 24 November 2009. Late representations will not be accepted. Please note that representations will be treated as public documents unless an argument is put to the contrary by the person making the representation. Copies of representations will be made available for public inspection on the Commission's website and at the Commission's office, Hobart.
Representations received will be evaluated; a further hearing with respect to the representations may be held if the Panel considers it appropriate; and the report modified as necessary before the Panel submits the final report on the Lauderdale Quay Development Proposal to the Australian and Tasmanian Government Ministers.
