Review of Representations and the Director's Report on the Port Arthur Historic Sites Draft Management Plan 2007

By letter dated 3 April 2008 the Minister for Environment, Parks, Heritage and the Arts, the Hon Michelle O'Byrne MP, directed the Commission to review the representations and the report of the Director of National Parks and Wildlife with reference to the Draft Management Plan.

As required under section 23(1) of the National Parks and Reserve Management Act 2002, the Commission gave public notice in the Advocate, Examiner and Mercury newspapers on Saturday, 19 April 2008 that copies of representations received and the Director's report were available for public inspection at the Commission's Hobart office, the Commission's website, Port Arthur Historic Site and Tasman Council Chambers, Nubeena.

The Commission has completed its review and reported to the Minister.  The report can be viewed and downloaded as a pdf file:
