Review of representations and the Director's Report on Macquarie Island Nature Reserve and World Heritage Area Draft Management Plan 2003

On 8 February 2005 the Minister for Tourism, Parks and Heritage, the Hon Ken Bacon, MHA, directed the Commission to review the representations and the report of the Director of National Parks and Wildlife with reference to the Draft Plan.

As required under section 23(1) of the National Parks and Reserves Management Act 2002, the Commission gave public notice in the Advocate, Examiner and Mercury newspapers on 19 February 2005 that copies of representations received and the Director’s report were available for public inspection at the Commission’s Hobart office and the Commission's website.

The Commission has completed its review and reported to the Minister. The report can be viewed and downloaded as a pdf file:
